The new Prince Philip has arrived.。 Paul Bettany is "being lined up" to play the famously gaffe-prone royal in Netflix's The Crown, Variety reported on Saturday.

。 Bettany would join Olivia Colman and Helena Bonham Carter -- set to play Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Margaret, respectively -- in the cast. At least a portion of Season 3 is set in the 1970s, and will include, among other things, the breakup of Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon.
