1994 cult classic and easily one of the best Australian films of all time (yep, we're calling it), Muriel's Weddingis set to become a stage production.
Starring Toni Collette and Rachel Griffiths, the movie stole hearts worldwide with its mixture of comedy and tragedy. There's never been a better time to watch the (ultimately) uplifting film about female friendships, if you haven't already.
Prepare for a heavy dose of one-liners, cringe-worthy fashion and hella ABBA songs.

Australia's Sydney Theatre Company is now turning the P.J. Hogan-penned masterpiece into a musical they say will bring the tale of Muriel Heslop "into the present but keeping all the irreverence and naughtiness of the film along with its dark edge."
Fingers crossed it's not terrible! And toes crossed it includes everything we know and love about the tale that's brought hope and humour to generations of "pathetic" unpopular girls.
Like these outfits, worn by the popular young women of Muriel's hometown of Porpoise Spit.
Or Rachael Griffith's general sass.
TFW you finally get a friend...
...with shared interests.
And she just gets you.
Even when you're having a slight meltdown.
And you can finally leave your hometown, and everyone who sucks therein.
Despite said town's kinda cool, tacky aesthetic.
And its cool cocktail bars.
But you'll always have those terrible memories to look back on.
