Police in Shanghai, China, pulled out all the stops turning a downtown high foot traffic zebra crossing into a vivid artwork overnight.

Aimed to prevent jaywalking, the 3D artwork of a zebra crossing the road was painted on top of an actual pedestrian crossing on Sunday.

According to CCTV news, around 200,000 people work in the neighbourhood where the mural was painted.
Road accidents involving pedestrians crossing roads dangerously is a common occurrence in China, especially in highly-populated cities such as Shanghai and Beijing.
