。 The Mindy Project -- 。 had when watching the season five premiere of the Hulu series when Dr. Mindy Lahiri makes a bold decision. 。 : What made you want to end last season the way you guys did 。 Kaling:。 As a viewer of television, I love a good love triangle. As a producer, I like a cliffhanger. And in the writers room, we were like 'this is a great thing to lead up to in season four.'。How will Mindy's decision impact everyone at Schulman and Associates going forward?Mashable Top StoriesStay connected with the hottest stories of the day and the latest entertainment news.Sign up for Mashable's Top Stories newsletter。By signing up you agree to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.。 By signing up you agree to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.。 Thanks for signing up!。 Kaling:。 I think people are surprised at what she decides. But it’s not just Mindy deciding -- it’s not just her pick of these guys. They are also self-realized characters too who don’t like to be chosen. They are not just going to sit there and be someone’s runners up. It’s surprising how the whole thing plays out in a gratifying way.
。 Ed Weeks (Dr. Jeremy Reed):
。This is one of the pitfalls of dating coworkers: There’s always going to be some backsplash. I think with Mindy's decision, there might be some backsplash that gets all over the rest of us in the office.。One of the great things about this show is they are not afraid to play the reality of situations, you know. If it’s going to be sad, or awkward, or dark, they [the writers] lean into that. You saw that with Mindy and Danny's relationship. The writers don’t shy away from stuff you wouldn’t see on other sitcoms. Yeah there’s going to be some awkwardness in the office for sure, but the writers respect that. They know how to find the laughs in those shadowy areas.。 Fortune Feimster
。 Fortune Feimster。 (Colette)。 : I think Colette is going to want to look out for Jody, her brother, and Mindy. He's made things super awkward. But at the end of the day Jody is her brother so she's going to be the most concerned about him and making sure he doesn't get hurt. 。 She's just trying to make sure he's happy. At the end of the day she is going to support him. I feel like Colette is the type to pick up the pieces -- no matter what happens she will figure things out with Mindy too and make the best of it. She's always had the glass is half full kind of attitude.
。Ike Barinholtz (Morgan):。Morgan is Mindy's cheerleader. I feel like their relationship is a bit like master and commander...I think that no matter what she does, there is a love from him and for him from her. They have a strong bond that's tough to break.。 At the Television Critics Association, there were a few fun cast announcements including the addition of Nasim Pedrad and the return of B.J. Novak. Without giving too much away, what other things can we expect this season? Credit: getty/mashable composite。 Credit: getty/mashable composite。 : There’s a nurse’s strike this season -- Morgan and Colette mobilize and Jeremy takes it upon himself to be the lead negotiator between the nurses and doctors. He prides himself on being an expert negotiator. He wears pearls to remind him of Margaret Thatcher, his hero because she demolished miners strike back in the 80s. He finds her very inspiring. Of course, it's just Jeremy being Jeremy.
。Barinholtz: 。I think Morgan this season is definitely focused on trying to get his life together. He's living in his home now with Colette, which might go sour I think...romantically, I want him and Tamra to get back together. I've always wanted that! I think that this season he's not as focused on love but maybe next season. Tamra is so much cooler than Morgan.
。Also the nurse's strike -- Jeremy has a little bit of a heart episode...we put him in a rascal mobility scooter chair for the first two episodes. I directed that episode, I was laughing so much.。TopicsHulu。TopicsHulu。 |
