The tweet, which was sent on Monday, concerned Alexandre Bissonnette -- the student who's now been charged with the mosque attack in Quebec which left six people dead and many injured.

Rowling shared a screengrab and accompanied it with eight words. She's since been retweeted over 100,000 times.

Rowling wasn't the only person who disagreed with the "'Lone wolf'" description. A large number of replies to the Daily Mail's tweet also argued that the term "terrorist" should be used instead.

Mashablehas reached out the Daily Mail's press team for comment.
