Valerio the jaguar, age three, was born in San Diego and moved to New Orleans in 2017. He killed four alpacas, an emu, and a fox before being subdued by zoo authorities.

In cases like this, a zoo may consider putting down the animal in question, but Valerio will not be.

Despite sympathy for the lost animals, many online couldn't blame Valerio for doing what jaguars do.

That, or he's back in his enclosure, plotting his next escape. We hope for the sake of the zoo's remaining alpaca population that he's not.。
