After Jennifer Lawrence and Darren Aronofsky broke up, Amy Schumer sent Lawrence flowers and a, uh, not-so-comforting note to help her get through it.
During an interview on Watch What Happens Live, Lawrence told host Andy Cohen that after she and the filmmaker split up, Schumer sent her a note with the message: "I'm so sorry to hear you're gonna die alone. Love, Amy," Peoplereported Friday.

The note, equally hilarious and brutal, was surely a comfort during a sad time for Lawrence, who was dating Aronofsky for a year. The two started dating while working on Aronofsky's movie mother!, and broke up just before the release of the film in late 2017.

Clearly Lawrence welcomed the note and Schumer's sense of humor.
“She’s the funniest person I’ve ever met,” Lawrence said on Watch What Happens Live.
Lawrence and Schumer have been friends for a while; the two presented together at the Golden Globes in 2016, and Lawrence attended Schumer's recent wedding. Now the two are teaming up for a movie that's still in the very early stages of development.
