Natalie Tran has turned the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard video apology into the hostage crisis we all knew it to be.

The Australian comedian poked fun at the actors by making it look like their apology video was actually filmed under duress.

In the actual upload, the Hollywood A-listers posted an apology after Heard went to Australian court for smuggling in their dogs, Pistol and Boo, in from the U.S.

Australia is a great country and I know the majority of us care about our biosecurity laws but wow, what a bizarre thing to come from all this. The original video is uncomfortable to watch and I think that’s a fairly common sentiment most people have when they first watch it too. I’m not really parodying the stars as much as the video itself. Why was it made? What will it achieve? Are they mocking Australian laws through their delivery? Is it adequate punishment?

The parody aims to highlight its weirdness, question its effectiveness, and serve an excuse for me to wear that hat.

Tran, who has about 1.7 million subscribers to her channel "communitychannel," described the video as "the behind the scenes/making of. Or at least what it had to have been. Right?"

Since being uploaded on Monday, it has amassed over 200,000 views on YouTube and more than 1.1 million views on Facebook.
