The GOP is putting words in Abraham Lincoln's mouth.

。The tweet was sent out Sunday morning from the main GOP Twitter account, with the quote, "And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years," attributed to our 16th president. 。 A quick Google search shows that most people on the internet think this is a Lincoln quote, too, with plenty of little homemade memes to share. But the sleuths over at。 Vox。Vox
。 dug up a blog post from the。Quote Investigator。 site that claims that the quote didn't come from Lincoln but, rather, Edward Stieglitz’s book 。The Second Forty Years。 .
